Maybe we could fork off a crypto currency for this event. It could be mined on smartphones and would be based on energy as well. Just another aspect to run an energy based society
Sounds very interesting. I would like to add that failure of payment and collapse of the system would also be a success for the project. If it turns out that most people struggle to generate the energy needed for their "tickets" and other stuff "legally" that also will provide interesting insight and awareness. Energy is so ubiquitous in our everyday life and it's "origin" in most cases just the plug. So generating awareness on how much "work" or value energy is, or how bad we are at understanding it even so we use electricity all the time. I would also be very interested in being involved in developing and realising some of the electricity generation machines as well as the different "display" systems for the energy "market". What I find extremely fascinating is our lack of intuitive understanding for the "value" of energy, it's origin and form. It would be very interesting for me to see how to build some "intuition pumps" for this. I also want to refer to this project by the Helen Hamlyn Centre: https://www.drawingenergy.com/ "Drawing energy" where they had people draw their picture on energy, I have the booklet somewhere, searching for it now. Would be nice to see how different such pictures would look in this speculative energy economy. Luca is also quite intrigued and already thinking about how to incorporate this into a "Mega Game" (Massive Roleplay and Strategy Game).
We could have economic bubbles with supposed perpetuum mobile ;)
